Thorough review of existing pipeline system anomalies for two fields and re-categorisation in accordance with the operator’s new anomaly management system.
The main challenge was the quantity of anomalies presented with poor quality previous assessments which had left the operator with a completely un-manageable task. No trending existed or Key Performance Indicators for anomaly tracking. The operator was not able to manage and effectively track the important risks.
An overhauled anomaly list for both fields with a significant reduction in the number of anomalies requiring further action. All anomalies categorised in accordance with the operators anomaly management system and practical, time-bound actions for risk mitigation identified.
